a day out with Mohsin in Subang Parade..

Hubby had to play driver as usual and that day he went to pick my mom up, who came back from kampung. I asked him to take Simba and Faie along so that i can take Mohsin with me. He asked "..where are you going to take him and why?..: which i answered "..well, yesterday i oredi took Abang and Kakak to Subang Parade.. we can go to same place and if the artist are still there, i can get his caricature done also.." Hubby agreed to my suggestion and before 12.30, we went out from the house and he sent me and Mohsin before he proceeded to Jln Duta bus station.

Mohsin was very happy when i told him that we're going for jalan-jalan in Subang Parade and he's oredi thinking about the good time he's going to have in Toys R Us. The kids lurrveeeee Toys R Us like they love the play ground. They know that they can play with almost everything there and they also know that their mom will not buy whatever they ask for unless they want anything they haven't have and if mummy is very generous that day ;-)

When we took the escalator, i asked Mohsin whether he's hungry or not and he said that he's oredi eaten at home and he don't wanna eat 'pizza hut'. So, i asked him again whether later he wanna eat in pizza hut or McDonalds. He still answered he don't wanna eat in pizza hut. With that i told him that we'll go to Toys R Us first and after he's finished playing, we'll go to eat whatever he wants. We stopped at the artist booth and got his caricature done. [..this reminds me to get those caricature pieces (one of Abang and Kakak and one of Mohsin) laminated..]

Mohsin started with playing with all the plush/soft toys he saw. He kicked balls.. talked to the 'cat', 'crocodile', 'lion' and other 'animals' around.. played with all the push-button toys.. took off his sandals before lying down on the mattress in a 'car bed'.. lied down in a playpan.. hit some bowling balls with hockey stick.. played with batman, power rangers figurines.. rode bikes and bicycles.. hit the drums.. put on the batman mask.. watered some plants with the tiny bucket.. soaked lotsa some dirty clothes in tiny bucket after watering the plants.. He really had a good time and didn't wanna leave. At 3 pm, when my stomach had oredi making so much noise, i persuaded him to leave but he still didn't want to. So i took him to the toy car section and bribed him with one, which almost resemble his daddy's car. Pheww.. lucky me it worked :)

I asked him again what he wanna eat and this time he answered 'pizza hut'. Tried to confuse him by taking him to McD but he insisted he wanna eat pizza. I ordered him pizza + milo and ice cream and got myself mango yoghurt and thousand island tuna in tortilla basket.. yummy :-D The waiter and waitress came checking on us almost every 5 mins and gave him some coloring stuff. I saw sparkled in his eyes throughout the outing. Mohsin is such an obedient boy when you give him all the attention he needs. We packed some leftovers and took a cab home.. feeling happier than before :)

I remembered one time me and Simba took the Putra LRT to go home to Kelana Jaya. It happened when he was still in kindy. The train we took had Maxis ads all over and he was reading most of them with interest.. slowly but surely.. tho i must say he was guessing here and there, hehehe..

Out of sudden he asked me "..Ma, kenapa dia kata "hari ni balik lambat..makan kat luar"?.." Hearing that i laughed hard and asked him back "..kenapa?.." which he answered "..sebab kalau makan kat dalam bersepah eh?.." Of course i laughed harder. I explained to him that "makan luar" means the person will be dining out i.e eating at restaurant or stalls before coming back home. "..Ohhhh.." he said with a smile.

I really miss the times when i get to go out with one of the kids alone.. just the two of us kinda outing as i get to know he/she better :-)

oh well... it's raining outside and i can't even go out to buy the lunch i intended to eat. so.. ended up eating instant meehoon perisa yong tau foo, hehehe. wellll, my colleague and my boss know that i fancy yong tau foo so much and never miss inviting me whenever they made trip to the yong tau foo place near our office :-)

Today didn't start very well, anyways. The moment we came out from the house, it's all jam up on the LDP. Cars were crawling.. snail pace. After almost 20 minutes, saw the sign along the highway saying there's an accident on Jalan Maarof. Jalan Maarof??!!! That's in Bangsar and abt 10-15km away from Kelana Jaya. For the life of me, i really can't understand what's wrong with Msian drivers *rolling eyes* So, asked hubby to drop me at the Putra LRT instead and i took the train to office. Think by deciding that could save some trouble for him and me, hehehe.

Later i started to write something here after so many days not updating my blog. But, when i was trying to fix some wordings here and there.. suddenly *ploop* everything i scribbled were gone :-( Isssshhh.. penat sungguh menaip..

Anyhow.. look at the bright side rose.. and chin up :-)

Weekend and Teacher's Day

Saturday, 14/5, was the day my mom came back from her umrah trip. Me and hubby already planned ahead to cook for her, aunt and uncle since we already know that they'll reach KLIA at abt 11am. Gedebuk gedebak by 1pm or so they'll reach Gombak and surely they'll be hungry. Since i got Ikan Masak Taucu recipe from the STFOGA egroup [me no cook OK *wink*], me and hubby decided to cook that together with my all-time favorite of my goreng kentang with ikan bilis plus kicap. Hmmm.. yummy i thot.. and that 2 dishes went well with steamy hot rice and "straight from the kuali fried chicken" :-) At the end, i had a good time catching up with mom and cousins.

Came Sunday, hubby went with his friends for their jungle tracking. As promised, i took kids out to Subang Parade bcoz Simba need to buy presents for his teachers for Teacher's Day. As we entered Subang Parade, kids stopped to play at Play-doh station set up by Parkson. We went round and round looking for something nice and not-so-expensive for his teachers. After looking at many things, Simba decided that he wants to buy frying pans for his teachers. Why frying pan?!! Hehehe, beats me... When i asked him, he said he can't think of anything better to give them. Oh well.. whatever.. tho i think those teachers will surely remember him for a LOOOONNNNGGG time ;-)

We had to cut the trip short as Mohsin's temperature shot up :-( He cried asking us to go home. Tho Simba and Faie were not happy about it, still we went home almost immediately. Mohsin threw out as soon as we reached home and lied down after he took a few spoons of porridge and medicine.

At the time Mohsin woke up, he saw me wrapping presents for the brother's teachers. With full anticipation, after some q & a, he said he also wants to give present to his "teacher". So i asked him who his teacher is since he hasn't start school yet. To my surprise, he said "Teacher Embah". [Kids call their grannies [hubby's parents] as Embah Wedok (grandma) and Embah Lanang (grandpa).] I felt very happy for his thotfulness and i really hope that his good criterias will stay in him for a long time. I showed him a clock with cats figures and asked him whether he wants to give that to his "teacher embah" and he said OK happily. I told him that i'll wrap his present before giving it to "teacher embah". I can see from his eyes that he's very excited about it. We went over to MIL's place last nite to deliver the present, together with a cute love-bug card. Of course MIL was so happy to get some presents from his cucus.

Anyways, tho it's late, to all teachers out there, esp my sis Ziela, Happy Teacher's Day. Hope all of you teachers will continue your good job in educating the youth :-)

Does Happy Meal makes you happy?

It's been quite some time since I fall in love with McD.. if i can remember well, from my first date with dear hubby at McD near Chow Kit, back in 1985. hmmm, that's soooo long ago, hehehe. And i've been "investing" in McD's food eversince :-)

But, my recent visit to McD KLIA was not a good experience. I was so hungry after eating a few pieces of bread for breakfast and been delaying lunch as i was rushing to KLIA to send my mom off to Mecca for her umrah trip with her sis and brother in law. I took the ERL from Sentral to KLIA bcoz hubby was down with fever at home. I told him to rest bcoz he'll need to go to Kuantan the next day. Upon reaching KLIA, i quickly looked for my dad. Daddy dearest babysat them bags while mom, aunt and uncle went to perform their jamak prayers before leaving.

Meanwhile, my empty stomach had oredi irritate me. For the quickest meal, i escaped myself to McD and ordered Happy Meal bcoz i thot i saw the price displayed as RM7.75. When he was preparing my take-away order, i told him that i want my drink to be replaced with Milo. I put a piece of 5 ringgit notes, 2 pieces of 1 ringgit and 75 sen on the counter. But, to my surprise, i was asked to pay 11 bucks for a cheeseburger, small fries and Milo together with s free toy of playdoh Ronald :( My face turned sour almost immediately. I told myself that i'm going to complaint to McD Customer Service for creating unhappiness in me for that not_so_Happy Meal :-/

No more 35-nish :(

I have mix feelings everytime my birthday comes.. not sure whether i'll be happy or sad... or indifferent. For this year, the day was just an ordinary one.. nothing much happened. The night before my birthday, hubby asked me what i want and without me giving him any reply, he thot he would like to buy me that apple-scented DKNY perfume which the smell turned out to be not as fresh as they claimed. So, we decided not to buy. But, he told me that i can keep on looking for whatever perfume that i think suits me well and he'll definitely buy it for me. Yayyyy!! :)

Anyways, I'm just equally happy later when I got a few gifts from friends and family. My extra special thanx went to CK for that gorgeous Guess handbag and red Italian silk *mwahs*, SIL for that beautiful AD handbag, Lin for that English roses egg box and money contribution from CK, Lin, Mood, Anis and Gee :) Thank you ever so very much for making me feel extra special, you lovely people :-D
