Not my day..

"Friday tak cuti ke?", asked one of my colleague when i wrote dates of 23/8 - 24/8 on the leave board. I said "no" as i'm running out of leave oredi. If nak ambik MC boleh la kot as i only used up 2 days so far *LOL* When i really had a bad time being on foot yesterday, memang rasa menyesal tak sambung cuti actually. When i saw the rain subsided around 5.45, i quickly packed my things and went out from ofis with the intention to go to KLCC. Intention nak pegi tu since Tue lagi tapi tak kesampaian as C & i were stuck in the jam along Jln Raja Chulan, and later on Jln Sultan Ismail for almost 1hour. Nearing the junction of Jln Sultan Ismail and Jln P Ramlee, i asked C to just drive home coz rasa macam tak sanggup dah nak pegi KLCC. Dah boleh bayangkan betapa ramainya manusia kat situ as they are all stuck in the building, not being able to go anywhere as it's raining outside at that time. Anyways, dah tak dapat pegi Tue, kononnya die die also must go la semalam. To my surprise yang dah meredah hujan, as i was abt to reach the corner restaurant facing Bank Mualamalat, near the Masjid Jamek station, i saw the water level raising up. Habis la Jln Melaka tu dah penuh air and i told myself "kalau harung air ni, sure sampai lutut tapi tak tentu lagi lrt ni jalan ke tak" :(

After consulting C, who's still in Malacca at that time, i decided to go back to ofis. When i reached ofis, my bos told me that she called Rapid and they told her that the lrt is working, except for the Setiawangsa stretch. Dah habis sembang macam2 kat ofis, my bos & i decided to try the lrt again and this time we're going to Central Market station. Our rationale, kat situ tinggi so sure tak de la meredah air. Surprise.. surprise.. la kan coz when we reached the station entrance after we took the escalator, the shutters was actually down and people are lining up there, with only small opening for people to come out from station and no one gets in :( I commented to her earlier, while we're on the escalator, that i didn't see any train moving on the track. Normally while you're walking towards the station, you will see at least one going either direction. Looks like all the public transports got stuck somewhere, in one way or another. Nak harapkan bus ke PJ, tak tau la berapa lama nak stuck kat dalam jam kat Federal Highway, itupun kalau dapat naik :-/ At the end, my bos decided to call her hubby and asked her hubby to come all teh way from PJ to pick us up from Dataran Merdeka. When he said OK, me & SP walked to Dataran Merdeka and waited for him there. Rasa macam nak tercabut dah kaki, after pusing keliling sini sana just trying to get home. Managed to reach home ard 8.45, courtesy of SP and hubby.. alhamdulillah.

I can't help wondering of how many hundreds or thousands of people actually got stuck in KL last night, either bcoz half of car in the water, or can't afford to drive car as it's low on fuel, or can't get a bus or cab to go back home, or stuck in bus/cab/lrt/commuter on the way home, etc, etc. Mungkin ada jugak yang berjalan berbatu-batu just to get home.. Sungguhpun bersyukur hujan turun menyejukkan bumi, tapi bila flash flood melanda.. seksa jugak. My last sight of the Sg Klang, water level had gone down a lil bit. Tapi, deras mana air yang mengalir tu tak payah cakap la kan.. Segala rupa sampah sarap pun ada :(

Note: We'll be going over to C's batchmate's wedding in a bit.. the one that i mentioned kena pakai sampin koleq tu. Sampin tu dah dapat, ihsan my senior's hubby. I think that sampin is abt 30 years old and is still in good condition :)

Test.. test.. test..

I was a lil bit upset when i first view my blog this morning as i only saw [and still do] only half of the entry of "Cacamarba" and all the frills gone. Is blogspot acting up again? I wanna see what happens when i publish this, hence the reason for this entry. Really hope i will not loose all the other posts coz that will means all my hard work gone with the wind *crossing all my fingers praying hard now*

Eversince the hike in oil prices, i can't help to notice that prices for almost everything has gone up too. If last time we spent abt rm600 for groceries every month, right now if we still spend that much, we will be starving during the last week of the month as there'll be nothing to eat or cook oredi :( For the past weeks, some species of fishes could have gone hiding or hybernating coz tak banyak ikan kat pasar ke kat Giant ke.. mana2 la. You name it.. ikan bawal, ikan parang, ikan tenggiri, ikan kurau, etc mostly are priced at RM20/kg or more. At times nak beli tembikai sebiji pun dekat rm10.. issshhh.. mahalnya. I'm not saying that i'm being calculative when it comes to feeding the kids but more to thinking abt those who earn much lesser than i'm. Even with my current pay i'll whine once a while, what abt them i wonder :-/

Anyways, Simba's birthday is coming next Tuesday. He's been eyeing the "soccer" cake from King's since we stopped by there 2 weeks ago. Maybe we'll just buy him that la kot. As for presies, i may not buy him any coz i just dunno what to buy him. Maybe i'll just let him choose whatever he wants later. Last year we made goodie bags for his classmates of both schools. See how whether this year nak buat ke tidak. I still have the weekend to prepare those bags if i want Simba to play 'Santa Claus' next Tue :) Anyhow, i need to check when's my helper's bday coz i think judging by her name, hers is also some time this month.

Other than that, C's batchmate is getting married and the reception will be on 26th Aug. A few days ago we got a call from another of C's batchmate saying that the groom has a special request for the attending batchmates to wear full Baju Melayu with sampin koleq. Alamak, C dah garu kepala mana pulak nak cari sampin koleq. His was stolen from the dorm storeroom during school holidays in 1985. Even if he still has it, he doubt he'll fit in it after he underwent waistline expansion, hehehe. We called a few of his juniors to borrow the sampin but we're not successful yet. Tak pe, there's still another week for us to try some other friends. Our target people are those who attended CCD last year. I'm actually looking forward to meet up with some friends during that wedding. Hoping to see some familiar faces among the wives too :) Maybe i should check with them on their attendance.. hmmm..

On ofis matter, the new system will go "live" very soon eventho there are still some testing going on. The idea is to upload all the "OK" data/reports first while the programmers continue to rectify the other problems. Boleh ke cam gitu? Honestly, i don't know. Ironic or not, some of the programmers left for new job. Well, people come and people go as nobody is indispensible. As for me, insyaAllah i'll be here for as long as i can take it. I don't think ada kerja yang senang, hehehe, so i just bersyukur with whatever that we have, alhamdulillah.

Oh yesss.. the 1 week school holidays will be from 19th Aug to 27th Aug. Me and Mak are actually hoping that Ziela will come back to KL. Ziela needs to see Di's schedule first actually. Kalau Di tak de course masa cuti sekolah ni, dapat la depa balik KL barang 4-5 hari :) Mak was telling me the other day that baby Afiq has gained weight and look a bit different than he was 2 months ago so i just can't wait to see him again. Kalau gebu pipi dia, memang la nak kena cubit dengan Mama, Faie and Milia, hehehe. In anticipation of them coming back to KL, i have applied for leave to spend some time with them :)

Note: It was June's birthday last Sunday, 6th Aug. This year June didn't go all out celebrating. When I spoke to June on Monday, she told me that they did go out for supper on Sat nite which eventually by the time they left the place it's oredi her birthday. To June, Happiest Birthday dear. Hope Allah will bless you with happiness and you'll be showered with love alwiz *hugz* In short, BLUE SKIES EVERYTHING NICE darling :D

Mim Alif Lam Sim :(

I'm simply lazy to blog nowadays :( Reasons being.. i] tak tau apa nak cerita, ii] tak de apa nak cerita, iii] busy tergolek-golek in ofis with system testing, iv] perasaan tak berapa happy, etc, etc, etc :( Oh well, i'm never rajin to spend so much times typing in front of the PC anyways, as i only can do so in the ofis. Kalau kat rumah, jangan harap nak dapat bukak PC. Boleh la bukak PC, tapi askar2 yang berdoyon-doyon tu sure will come not long after. Some people will regard kids as nuisance but i count them as blessings :) Oh well, i should just stop the ramblings before i say something not nice as i can see it coming oredi :(

Anyhow, have a good weekend all, esp to Mint and KC yang mention kat shoutbox tu :)
