Merdeka oh Merdeka
Road congestion have been bad since Monday, since the Merdeka rehearsal started. C had to 'tawaf' a few rounds when he was surprised by road closure when we came out near the Masjid Negara. Apparently everybody coming into KL on Monday was stuck in the jam or had to divert his way. But, surely from the Merdeka parade organizer point of view, a few rounds of rehearsal are needed for the grand 50th celebration.
When i was passing the Dayabumi this morning on the way to ofis, i can't help from thinking abt Abah. Saw all the groups of ppl in different color outfit waiting in lines for their turn to march towards the Dataran Merdeka. Abah used to train participants, in the company he used to work for, how to march smartly for the parade. Last time when Merdeka celebration used to be held in KL every year, his company will get the invitation to participate. I think my mom still keep some of his outfits. Maybe i'll look for some pix of him in the outfit and post here. Anyhow, feedback from a fren who watched the rehearsal, band performance by some high schools are to look forward to.
This year the kids were very persuassive asking us to put the flag :) So, we put up 2 big flags, hehehe. My neighbour who's with KeKKWa, gave us some small flags plus some Visit Malaysia Year 2007 postcards. He's extremely busy with functions, esp now that it's very near Merdeka day oredi. Almost every night he'll attend some functions near and far until the wife give up following him coz in her exact words "tak larat nak buat baju" :) For the long weekend, C's family will organise a gathering in Sungkai. We're going Friday morning and will stay there till Sunday. It's been a while since the last time they organise such big out-station gathering. The last one we went to Malacca when Simba was still a baby. We're so relieved that Mak agreed to follow us as she just came back fm Ziela's house in AOR. The kids are really looking forward to such fun fun fun outing coz they're told that there'll be lotsa games to play and plenty of pressies for them and the other lil munchkins.
Have a great Merdeka celebration :)
