To continue hoping & dreaming..
Abt a month ago i saw an internal vacancy within the company. I was interested to apply as i've been eyeing opportunities to do something different for being at the same position, in the same department, doing abt the same thing for more than 10 years. My guess, it's a good career move as i'll learn something else and will be able to mix with different set of colleague. But, i was contemplating and my worry was my boss will not release my transfer. After giving it so much thot, i decided to speak to my boss and my boss said this to me after i laid out all the reasons why i need this transfer, "..if you think that will benefit you, i have no problem releasing you.." :)
First, official email sent to HR to indicate my interest. Then counting days for the interview, hehehe. When the D-day came, i was just surprise that i was not nervous at all. Prolly because i know the boss and i don't know who i was competing against, i.e the other candidate. I did my best in answering the questions and i guess the boss was satisfied with my answers because we both know that i know the stuff i talked abt. But, i somehow back-off because i just know the strength of the other candidate and for the position offered, the other person will be more suitable for it. I was not frustrated with the decision made because i believe there'll be other suitable position(s) for me and i'll keep looking for the opportunities :) Maybe i'm fated to be here for another 1, 2, 3 years.. or maybe for as long as i'm working. I'll continue to keep an open mind abt it as most of the time the grass is alwiz greener on the other side :)
