Blast at NM's bday bash :)

I purposely went out from ofis at 5.30 yesterday bcoz i don't want to arrive late at Avanti Sunway for NM's birthday celebration :) I had earlier wished her thru sms which part of it reads as follows:

On a bright Tue morning, i can't help thinking abt a fren who's been so dear 2 my heart, who has endlessly make my life so lively, colorful and more meaningful, who has alwiz been very kind to people around her, who never come to meet frens without wearing a warm and sweet smile, who never fail to lend an ear for good, sad or any stories and the person is U ;-) Happiest Birthday Lin :-D

Hubby sent me to Avanti eventho he's still having fever and feeling very weak. All attendees were there seated at a long table with NM at the centre. She's dressed in all white outfit of kebaya and skirt, looking so pretty :) We had a special guest with us too, Adien. He's on a biz trip, stopping over KL for a few days, on his way back to Cape Town from China. Mood was last to arrive as he came from workplace. We haven't order food at that time tho so his timing was somehow right.

Since it's an Italian restaurant, most of us ordered pasta and pizza. NM and i thot of sharing so we asked for ceasar's salad and capriciosa pizza. After our salad and some soups arrived, NM and i kept on getting fed by the waiter. When NM asked him, he only answered "..this comes with the salad.." or "..this comes with the other one.." Looks like me and NM were the ones dok busy makan itu ini until we got suspicious. The rest of them were actually getting restless waiting for their food :? So i said to NM, "..agaknya June ordered for you ke?" where she replied, "..ha-ah la kot sebab dulu pun dia buat cam gitu.. ordered everything on the menu for me.." Not long after that, the Chef came out from the kitchen to ask on how NM is doing which she replied "..all the food are delicious but i'm really full oredi.." To her surprise, the Chef told her that whatever she's eaten were only the appetizers and her main course will come very much later!! Oh my, i know how full she feels bcoz i'm feeling the same as i've been sharing her food bcoz i was also conned by the waiter's words of "this comes with that" and "that comes with this" :) At that time dah rasa macam nak pecah perut kekenyangan after we had a lil bit of each of the ceasar's salad, wild mushroom soup, ravioli with crab meat filling, prawn salad, cod fish and pizza. NM definitely shared her food with the rest and what we can say is all were yummylicious and marvelous. For finale, the waiter served NM lime sorbet and her main course of some chicken dish which was the bestest. [Sorry coz i tak tau nama all the food so kena tunggu NM update her blog coz she has the menu framed (done by the sweet June)*wink*] So, only by that time the rest also got their food.. kesian semua dah kelaparan..

After we're done with dinner, Avanti's staff brought out NM's cake, complete with unicorn ice sculpture and a bouquet of mixed white flowers. All looked so LOVELY :) NM's tiramisu dessert was "riding" on the back of the unicorn somemore :D After we sang for her, and she made the wish before blowing the candles, the whole gang took tonnes of peekcures with it. NM made the night ver much more livelier with her smiles and laughter of joy. With all the lovely pressies she got, plus the BEST of food served, together with great company, i'm sure this is one of the birthday dos that she'll treasure *wink* [For a more detail story and peektures, you'll have to wait for NM to update her blog, hehehe]

Happiest Birthday again NM :) May 17th Jan be a start for all the great things in life to come your way :D

To June, who made all the necessary preparations to make sure the partay is a success, WELL DONE gurl!!! :) You made us leave the party with smiles from ear to ear. What would we do without you darling? *wink*

Note on 19th Jan: Oppssss.. i forgot to mention that since NM never let her guests go home empty handed, she gave each of us attendees a lovely shawl. The guys will have to give the shawl to their partner tho.. Thanx so much NM :)

New School Year

SIMBA

Simba proceeds to Primary 2 this year. Eventho he didn't get to be nemuro uno, he still did quite okay during Primary 1 and managed to place himself in the top class this year. Not bad for a person who didn't even read his books during the exam week. Well, i guess it's luck. He still attends the morning session for Sek Ugama and afternoon session for Sek Kebangsaan. I think his Ugama class has less students this year bcoz many of his frens are attending the afternoon session as the time i went to pay his fees and to buy his books, there were only 10 pupils with the ustazah. InsyaAllah ustazah will be able to give them more attention eventho i think she'll get more headache with the afternoon class. This year i'm trying something out, i.e paid his school and mengaji fees for the whole year instead of giving him the money monthly. I think that will save me the headache of giving him the exact change every time. He definitely has proved himself to be very responsible for the past years so i think there's no issue of him not being reliable :) Guess i just don't know what's in store for 2006 bcoz the economy was not that good for 2005. I think it's better to play safe la kan, hehehe.

One setback re Simba on first day of school was he got attacked by some insects on his way back from Sek Ugama. He had rashes all over his body. It got worse when he was in Sek Kebangsaan after he ran up and down the stairs helping the teachers with those text books. With some parts of the rashes were swollen, Dr gave him MC for 2 days. Nowadays, school kids pun dapat MC.. eee, syoknya.. dulu mana ada.. But he's very much OK oredi :)

FAIE

My lil kakak starts her kindy too :) She looks so cute in her gown and hair clips, together with white socks and tiny school shoes which has 3 lil flowers on the velcro band. Of course she'll be half awake while waiting for the bus after she had eaten breakfast. The idea of meeting strangers really frightened her on the first day. Eventho Simba oredi rehearsed with her on how to answer whenever anybody ask her name before Papa took Faie to school, still she was so afraid to answer when the real situation took place. She either kept quiet or said "tak tau" when asked. Good thing was she didn't cry. Buttt, she refused to go into her classroom eventho some of the teachers tried to pujuk her. So, on the 2nd day i followed her to school and waited outside her classroom. Glad that she had fun and didn't cry. Well, some kids really had some drama when their mom tried to leave. Yang menangis melalak, yang lari keluar sekolah, yang tak nak masuk balik lepas dah keluar class, yang mintak call the guardian to come pick them up.. macam-macam hal. Somehow i'm glad Faie didn't do that eventho she cried the time i left her in the class. Tapi sebab malu orang tengok dia nangis, dia cepat berhenti. All in all, she actually had fun during that few hours. Last Friday she told me that she oredi has a fren. When asked the fren's name she answered "Elina". But somehow me & C think her fren's name is Elisa :)
