tak sempat....

Kalau nak ikutkan, semua benda tak sempat nak buat as time flies really fast nowadays :( Tapi, kalau nak ikutkan prinsip tak sempat, satu benda pun tak jadi kan.. kan.. kan.. So, here i am forcing myself to write something.

Last 2 days was my ex-boss' birthday, which also marked a cousin's birthday. Yesterday was the cousin's son's 1st birthday. Tomorrow will be MIL's birthday. C mentioned to me this morning that we haven't buy anything for Ibu. I've actually run out of ideas on what pressie to give her :( I think i haven't let any of her birthday(s) passed without giving anything. The least we did was buy a cake, which never fail to put a smile on her face, even when she complained a tiny winy bit that SIL bakes better cakes. I'm not sure whether the complaint was abt the cake we bought or she's hinting SIL to bake her a cake instead. I very much think it's the latter :) But for the past 2-3 years, SIL has started baking again, so for few years we've been savouring delicious desserts if we told SIL we oredi planned to buy MIL a cake. Nevermind that coz this year C will plan with SIL today on what to do or what cake shall we eat tomorrow :) I oredi have some plans, and told C abt it this morning, but it's depending on what time i can get myself out of bed tomorrow morning ;-) But, as i can picture the broad smile that i can put on her face early tomorrow morning, i must push myself just a lil bit, insyaAllah..

Anyways, my system testing is extended till next year which actually have pros & cons. As much as i want the testing to end soonest, longer time may be able to give some comfort level to me & colleague. So, since some test planning was done to have lesser activities next month, i have decided to do the long_abandoned_plan of eye correction surgery. I know to some people it sounds scary but i have tonnes of words of encouragement from friends. The close friends i spoke to said that i must go for it before i change my mind again. Apparently, i had a change of mind 8 years ago when i first decided to go for the lasik treatment. At that time the procedure was quite different. You had to do one eye at one time and the recovery process was very slow. After you first eye has somewhat recovered, you'll go to the hospital again for the second eye and struggle with another recovery process. Sounds like a hassle, don't you think so? I had all tests done and appointment fixed but chickened out at the very last minute :( In my thots at that time were all the "what ifs" :-/ Also i don't think i can survive 2-3 weeks of MC with blur vision, while having Simba to look after. This time around, with C's strong support, i think i'm brave enough to go through it. Wish me luck and pray for my speedy recovery please :D

(update on 26/11/07: we managed to get those loevely flowers for Ibu but we missed her by 10 mins, only bcoz of the roadblocks before entering LDP :( But, in the evening when we stopped by Ibu's house before going to pick up Mak, we met her and we're happy to see her broad smile :) All troubles was really worth it i should think so..)
